Realtime (2001)
2001 saw the release of Shapeshifters debut LP entitled Real Time. The album included an iconic collaboration with vocalist Ladi6 on the track ‘Move With Me’ as well as Kaps (Fabel) and Tiki (Salmonella Dub) on production. The album was awarded “Best Electronic Release” in the 2002 bNet NZ Music Awards and gained the band a loyal following within the electronic music scene.

Riddim Wise (2004)
Shapeshifter released their second album Riddim Wise in 2004. With an emphasis in funky dancefloor grooves, whilst still maintaining strong musical elements Riddim Wise is viewed as the bands step towards a more atmospheric style of drum and bass. The album features legendary collaborations with Aotearoa vocalists Joe Dukie (Fat Freddy’s Drop), Ladi6 and P Digsss. Riddim Wise became the #1 NZ National Dance Album and #1 Independent NZ album release.

Soulstice (2006)
Released in 2006, Shapeshifters third album Soulstice brought the band to new heights with lead single ‘Bring Change’ receiving the Tui Award for Best Electronic Release. The album showcases their versatility, seamlessly blending elements of soul, drum and bass, funk, reggae and rock. Soulstice achieved Gold sales status in New Zealand in just 3 weeks and has since achieved Platinum sales.

Shapeshifter Live (2007)
In 2007, Shapeshifter released their first and only live album entitled Shapeshifter Live. Recorded on 29th September 2006 in the band’s hometown of Christchurch, the album captures Shapeshifter’s electrifying stage presence. The 6-track album showcases fan favourites like ‘One’ and ‘Tapestry’ alongside a previously unreleased song called ‘Good Looking’.

The System Is A Vampire (2009)
Released in 2009, The System Is A Vampire saw Shapeshifter continuing to push musical boundaries. With lead singles ‘Dutchies’ and ‘Lifetime’ the album featured a darker, more introspective tone, while retaining their signature energy. The album’s success saw it shortlisted for the inaugural Taite Music Prize in 2010, reached #1 in the NZ music charts and gaining Platinum status in New Zealand.

Delta (2013)
Shapeshifter’s 5th studio album Delta was released in 2013 showcasing a refined evolution of their sound, blending elements of drum and bass, dubstep and electronica. Delta was recorded in Berlin, Germany and Wellington, mixed by NZ producers The Upbeats and followed by a Nationwide tour. Including lead singles such as ‘Monarch’, ‘Gravity’ and ‘In Colour’, the album peaked at #1 on the NZ music charts and achieving the Tui Award winner for Best Electronic Album.

Stars (2016)
Stars released in 2016, received critical acclaim for its lush production and emotive songwriting. Nominated for best single of the year, title track Stars explores a more atmospheric direction. With its ethereal melodies and cosmic themes, the album continues to shine brightly in the constellation of Shapeshifter’s discography, captivating audiences around the globe.

Rituals (2021)
Shapeshifter’s latest album Rituals released in 2021 continues to push the boundaries of electronic music, weaving together elements of multiple genres into a mesmerising sonic tapestry. Lead singles ‘Lightspeed’ and ‘Found In You’ showcases Shapeshifter’s signature sound and is a testament to the band’s unparalleled craftsmanship.
