Taking care of business . . . Books about NZ Music! What else would you ever want to read? Everything you could think of to help out with your Broadcast requirements . . . Sound, lighting, equipment hire, organisation - These companies do whatever it takes to make your concert an event to go down in music history! Bringing in the big guns. . . Need advice? Talk to the professionals. . . Going on an overseas tour and need to get some gear over? These companies can help you. People who will help you with your fake gravestones and on-stage pyrotechnics that are so important at a gig! If you are really serious about getting to the media, get a media Directory. There are a few of them published in NZ (see NZ Directories). They are updated every 6 months, some every 3 months and even better, you can now get a subscription to the online ACNielsen Media Directory. A distributor is a company which sells music into retail stores on your behalf. They will primarily deal with labels, but sometimes do deal with individual artists. Here is a list of Distributors in NZ and the labels they distribute. . . Make sure you have the right tools for the job! Here's where you can get them. There are some excellent resources for musicians available on the internet. Here are some of the best ones. . . Big or Small, North or South. These are the people that put themselves out on a limb to put your music out. Here's a list of people that can help out with your legal troubles. Probably won't save you from jail, though. Mastering is the final step in the production of an album or single. It is a vital process that ensures maximum impact on the end listener. Attention is paid not only to the sound of each individual track, but to the overall consistency and continuity from track to track, to achieve a smooth flowing, level-matched CD.

These are the people who will take your song and do things to it that you wouldn't believe, so that it sounds huge! Need some music to go with your TV/video project? Here are some people who can help. Get your music promoted by the professionals. Get your music promoted by radio stations throughout the nation. Here you can go through the list to see which stations are going to be appropriate for you and your band to send your music to.
