VNZMA Technical Awards Winners and Finalists Announced

The winners of the Technical Awards in this year's 47th annual Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards have been announced by the Recording Industry Association of NZ.

The winners of the Technical Awards in this year's 47th annual Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards have been announced by the Recording Industry Association of NZ.

The winners were announced tonight in an event at The Cloud on Queens Wharf, Auckland.

The 2012 winners are...


MAINZ Best Engineer: Neil Baldock for Lydia Cole - 'Me & Moon'

MAINZ Best Producer: Kody Nielson for Bic Runga - 'Belle'

Best Album Cover: Angela Keoghan for Bannerman - 'Dearly Departed'


It was also announced that Beach Pigs, Watercolours and Loui The ZU will be this year's Vodafone New Zealand Music Critics' Choice Award contestants.

Chris Knox's seminal band Toy Love will have the rightful privilege of being bestowed with this year's Legacy Award, at the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards ceremony on 1 November.

No finalists are announced for the Vodafone Highest Selling NZ Single, the Highest Selling NZ Album, NZ On Air Radio Airplay Record of the Year and the International Achievement awards. These will be awarded at the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards ceremony at Auckland's Vector Arena on November 1.

The recipient of the New Zealand Herald Legacy Award - Toy Love - will also be inducted into the New Zealand Music Hall of Fame.
