Twelve International Music Market Development grants were awarded.


Tiny Ruins

Tiny Ruins showcase tour of Australia, USA, Canada, & Europe in support of the album Brightly Painted One.

Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra

Debut tour of the United States.

Ulcerate (pictured)

25 date European tour in support of their album Vermis through Relapse Records.

Orchestra of Spheres

Showcase tour of the USA-Iceland in support of their album Vibration Animal Sex Brain Music through Fire Records. Includes performance at Iceland Airwaves Festival.

Hollie Smith

Showcase tour of the US, UK and Canada, includes performances at the Montreal Jazz Festival.

Marlon Williams

Performances at BIGSOUND 2014 and touring as support for Justin Townes Earle in Australia.

Devilskin

Australian showcase tour.

Delaney Davidson

North American tour.

David Kilgour & The Heavy 8's

Showcase tour of USA in support of his album Endtimes Undone through Merge Records. Includes a performance at Merge 25th Anniversary festival.

Myele Manzanza

Showcase performance at the 2014 Australasian World Music Expo (AWME), Melbourne, Australia.

Jesse Sheehan

Showcasing in and around BIGSOUND 2014.


Business Support Grants

The Outward Sound Business Development grant enables up to 2 representatives to undertake a market development visit. This involves traveling to the desired market (or markets) and meeting with companies/individuals and to capitalise on opportunities created. It supports managers, artists, and companies undertaking business-to-business meetings as well as attending tradeshows and associated events.

International Delegate Grants

The Outward Sound International Delegate grants enables one applicant to attend a supported tradeshow. The current supported tradeshows are AWME (The Australian World Music Expo) and WOMEX (The World Music Expo). The grants offer successful applicants 50% recoupable support up to a event specific value to cover flights, accommodation, registration and per diems.
