About the Mentor
Majic is a 21-year-old female roots reggae artist from Aotearoa. She was the first female from NZ to ever record at TUFF GONG Studios at the age of 16 yrs and is currently the highest-profile solo female roots reggae artist in the country.
Majic has toured NZ with artists like Katchafire, Ria Hall, Annie Crummer, Betty-Anne Monga, Whirimako Black, The House of Shem, Tomorrow People, 3Houses Down, J Boog, and the Common Kings, & performed alongside internationals such as Julian Marley.
Majic has also performed at major NZ reggae events such as East Coast Vibes & Raggamuffin, as well as international events in Hawaii (The MayJahRayJah) and at California's oldest Reggae Festival (Reggae On The River).
Majic received the Maori Female Artist of the year award at the 2015 Waiata Maori Music Awards.
