SO BELOW Returns With New Single 'Bone'

March 15th 2019

Following on from the 2018 release of sophomore EP II, which has earned rave reviews across the world and clocked over 1 million streams plus major playlisting support from Spotify across Canada, USA, NZ and AU, Aucklander So Below (Madeline North) welcomes 2019 with new material and a grittier sound on the single, Bone, which releases today.

Delving deeper into North's love of sparse, heavy-hitting industrial beats, Bone underpins an undeniably pop hook with layers of atmospheric synth and a pulsating dark groove. Brad Hale (Now Now), co-writer with North on the 2018 single Ruin collaborates again on song-writing duties, with North further extending her journey into self-production, having recorded and compiled her vocals for this track in her home studio.

North plays on the themes of pain, and the need to let go with Bone. North explains, "The song is about someone you care about letting you down again and again, and as much as you want it to change, you know it never will."

Bone is the first single to be released from So Below's forthcoming debut album, which is slated for release in Spring 2019. Expect to see a tour announced for Australia and New Zealand in the coming months.

Listen to Bone now through Spotify, Apple Music and iTunes.
